The Mahaffey Theater at Progress Energy Center was rebuilt in 2004 and now features a spectacular performing arts center and ballroom that overlooks the City's beautiful downtown waterfront. It is a cultural jewel for the city.

The 100 year old Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg is lush with exotic plants and wonderful garden demonstrations and features more than 50,000 tropical plants and flowers.

A new shopping/dining experience is Baywalk which has a number of local vendor retailers that have a variety of eclectic findings, wonderful restaurants, a 20 screen movie theater as well as regular out door concerts and art shows.

The Pier and The Pier Aquarium are a popular attractions to area visitors. It's a landmark in downtown St. Peterburg. Also Tropicana Field which is home to the Tampa Bay's Major League Baseball team The Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
